A TOAST TO FRIENDSHIP

Old friends are the best friends,
The friends we've loved throughout the years,
Friends who have walked beside us down the road,
And shared our laughter and our tears.

The friends we loved when life was young,
And on its swelling tide,
Their love was true, and at the setting sun,
That love doth still abide.

So drink a toast to friendship,
For in this fleeting, changing world,
Few things can stand the test,
So drink a toast to friendship,
And old friends are the best.
